Personal Details
I enjoy hiking (especially the Chisos Mountains in Big Bend National Park), the robust family relationships that come from raising three teenagers, visits to the campus of Texas A&M University in College Station (where my kids went to College ), reading the Bible (guide for my life), teaching and writing.
A personal word of hope. Psalms 139:14 says our bodies are "fearfully and wonderfully made". God, the Creator, made us that way. God is the source and wellspring of all our hope--for now and the future. It is his desire that we be happy and that we enjoy Him forever. Yet, physically we are all being randomized to the universe. Saint Paul, speaking about himself, said that "outwardly" he was "wasting away" but "inwardly" he was being "renewed daily". Again, he explains that it is the inward (spiritual person) that is of ultimate importance. What is important is how the inward person worships God. It is God who is our hope, not our health or our wealth. Therefore, we each have the same hope and desires and face the same future. My desire is to keep this earthen vessel running as well as possible until Christ comes again but not to become so preoccupied with its maintenance that I begin to worship the created thing rather than the Creator. My hope is to not love life more than I love the Creator of my life. My hope is rooted and anchored in knowing Him as my Savior. He has saved me from the consequences of my sins, He has saved me from living a life of fear and frustration and He has saved me from the fear of death (Rev. 12:11). He can do the same for you or anyone who asks (Rev. 3:20). May God bless you as you search for HIM.
Practice Character and Uniqueness
Our practice services, environment and temperament are built around three principles. These are
(1) always do what is in the best interest of the patient-client
(2) treat only those patients who appreciate and desire our services
(3) do dentistry that looks good, feels good and last a lifetime.
These three principles allow us to take the time necessary to listen to your needs and concerns, to follow through with the most beneficial service--not the most expedient treatment, and to truly enjoy what we are doing for you. This provides exceptional dental health care not just routine dentistry.

South Texas "Firsts" in Dentistry
By seeking to stay on the forefront of future dentistry, I was the
first dentist to bring an intra-oral camera to South Texas (1989). This allows you to view your mouth on a television monitor and is used for diagnosis and discovery of hidden dental disease by magnifying the teeth and oral structures 20 times. Two of the local TV stations carried this event. I was one of the
first few dentist in the nation to eliminate the use of amalgam (silver-mercury fillings) from my dental practice (1983). I was also the
first dentist in South Texas to incorporate the use of functional appliances in treating orthodontics (1982), the
first to offer bank drafts as a payment plan (1987), the
first to offer the convenience of home bleaching (1988), the
first to offer laboratory testing for keeping track of cholesterol, cPSA and other health monitors (1995), the
first dentist in South Texas to go on the internet with a home-page as well as being 43rd International dental listing(1995), and
first dentist in South Texas to become board certified as a Clinical Nutritionist and offer nutritional counseling to my patients. (1998), and the
first dentist in South Texas to produce a public, online newsletter for health and nutrition.
first dentist in South Texas to offer Neuromuscular Dentistry.
Dental Research Project
I am at present involved in a two year FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approved IRB (Internal Review Board) study to demonstrate the effectiveness and safety of a medication that removes deposited mercury from the body. There will be only 100 dentists in the United States participating in this study.
