New Patient Profile:

A typical new patient in our practice is referred to us by a satisfied friend or family member, they are health conscious, they are an aware consumer with an understanding of value, and they have an eye on the future with the goal of enjoying full health all their chronological life.

Your initial visit will be a discovery or inventory visit where you will learn about your mouth's present status. The findings will be discussed and options will be presented that will utilize the latest techniques to help you achieve a lasting and permanent dental health. Written reports with treatment options are presented as needed.

Our Examination Includes:

blood pressure check
an oral cancer examination
thorough inspection of the gums and supporting bone
palpation of the jaw joint (TMJ)
classification of your occlusion (Orthodontic Evaluation)
examination and status of all existing restorations in your mouth
an examination for new decay
nutritional assessment and status with appropriate laboratory testing
any necessary x-ray and study models

Preventative Cleanings are usually not scheduled until we know what the challenge is and can arrange the appropriate amount of time for your personal needs. We also feel that you should get to know us first before you decide if we are going to be your health care provider.

Children who are unfamiliar with a dental office or who have had previous bad experiences are scheduled for the first time after they have been in our office and assisted in cleaning their parents teeth. This is an excellent way to introduce them to dentistry, educate them and take the fear out of quality dental care. It always produces dynamite dental patients. Patience is the key word here.

Overall Health is established before any restorative care is undertaken. It is a waste of your time and money to undertake restorative care if your body is not in homeostasis. Homeostasis is the natural balance you body needs to keep itself from premature age degeneration.
